Raffle for Hopi Seed Jar
to benefit CCNS water work

In recognition of our recent work Steve Elmore, of Steve Elmore Indian Art, generously donated a Hopi seed jar for a fundraising raffle.

The piece was made and signed by Rachel Sahmie, a fourth generation granddaughter of the great Hopi potter Nampeyo. The seed jar measures 8 1/4" in diameter and 4" in hight. It was made by hand coiling native clays, painted with a yucca brush and traditionally fired out-of-doors in cedar wood and sheep manure.

Congratulations Richard Wiener for Winning the Raffle!
